Empress Azonia was the final ruler of the Iskari Empire, which once controlled most of Ikharos.

Azonia is considered a folk hero in Iskari culture, and spoken of with the utmost reverence. Her fate is unknown, other than she was last seen leading the defense of Khorvis against the onslaught of the Runelords.

Shortly afterward, her son Ilnavel Cyrenäe left with his fleet of 1,000 ships, bound for Corwyn.

Azonia was a pure-blood, direct descendant of the First Emperor; Il-Khazar.

Azonia's husband was an imperial Prince named Ilvanos, a great explorer who later sailed across the Wyn Myr and discovered the continent of Corwyn.
