Borderwood

The Borderwood is a heavily forested region that lies on the border between the Kingdoms of Marundi and Ammarind.

The Borderwood is located between the Sable and Ironrock Mountains, and is actually made up of several different woodlands.

Although the region is sparsely populated, there are several scattered settlements located here. Two of these are the villages of Heldren and Zimar, whose populations consist of a mixture of Amador and Thaldain peoples.

Twenty years ago, the Borderwood saw significant bloodshed during the Winter War fought between the nations of Ammarind and Marundi.

Locals still remember the horrors of that war, and many of them lost friends and relatives.
