The Northorns are one of the oldest, wealthiest, and most influential Rynnish noble families. Lord Donovan Northorn; its founding patriarch, was a loyal ally to King Galadren III, and loyally served him during the War of Crows.

When Lord Donovan was slain at the Battle of Krell, King Galadren granted his family stewardship over the city of Kelburn and its surrounding territory.
