A former merchant, turned politician, Erdan is reasonably competent but is well-aware that his small city is no match for either his northern neighbor; the Kingdom of Elyria, or his southern neighbor; the Kingdom of Serathyr.

Therefore, the governor tries hard to maintains a strict neutrality posture, but his critics say he turns a blind eye to the corruption all around him and the growing influence of Serathyr.
