Feng-zhi was an ancient and powerful Cloud Dragon who fell in love with Zhou Xing-ha; a heroic Daroon figure who would eventually become the first of the Cloud-Emperors of Shang-Zhou. Legend has it, Feng-zhi changed into her female human form and married Zhou in an elaborate ceremony atop a mystical cloud in the skies.
Feng-zhi was revered for her wisdom, and is traditionally credited with having authored or edited many of the classic Daroon texts including all of the Seven Scrolls of Wisdom, but modern scholars are cautious of attributing specific assertions to Feng-shi herself.
Aphorisms concerning her teachings were compiled in the The Loonyu (Sha-teng: 論語; Pronounced: lúnyǔ; literally: "Discourses"), but only many years after the death of Zhou (the last mention of Feng-Zhi in the official history).
