Located in the Shining Sea, the Firestorm Isles is a large chain of over thirty islands, many of which have active volcanoes.
The name of this island chain derives from the many active volcanoes located here. Because of these active volcanoes, the islands are considered extremely dangerous. In fact, most of the islands are often covered in clouds of ash and the winds carry poisonous fumes.
Out of safety, very few humans dwell on these islands and most are completely uninhabited. But there are several rich mineral and gem deposits located here, so hearty adventurers and miners have been known to try their luck for short visits, usually until the next eruption.
Very few people are aware of the fact that Suderham; the hidden city of the Slave Lords, is located on a small island in this chain.
