Forbidden Forest

The Forbidden Forest; also called the "Petrified Forest," is a small woodland located on the island of Cynara.

The forest is considered quite hazardous because of several basilisks which reside there and turn hapless travelers to stone. Spread throughout the woods are hundreds of stone statues; victims of those magical beasts.

This region was once home to Duke Ilros Tarbeck; a wealthy Cynaran noble and the master of Erôn-Khorlöth. Sadly, he too was turned to stone, and his statue lies deep within the forest.

The forest is situated at the northwest point of the island, near the city of Cyrenica.
