Battle of the Frozen Ford
(1238/6) The Frozen Ford was the site of a vicious, bloody battle fought between Marundi and the Sköda tribes of the Northern Wastes.
The Sköda were led by Sicard; their greatest war-chief, who invaded Marundi in 1237/6 to secure territory rights for his people. The Marundians were victorious and Sicard was slain in the battle, but not before he killed King Morland Norax.
This battle was the last in the dreaded War of the Bloody Snow, which cost thousands of lives.
Afterward, the Marundians dictated harsh terms to the barbarians which are still enforced today.
