The Great Uprising

The Great Uprising was a ten-year, bloody campaign by an alliance of Vaas lords against the Iskari occupation of the Highlands.

The leader of the rebellion was Magnus Gildayne; also known as "Magnus the Liberator." Magnus was a Vaas noble lord, who hailed from the Varda Clan.

In the year 853/4, Magnus killed King Irovar II at the epic battle of Vickers. Shortly thereafter, Iskandar abandoned the Eastvale region, and their forces sailed back across the Iron Sea. Magnus' victory led directly to the end of the War of Terror.

After his epic victory, Magnus was anointed "King of Karthis." Thereafter, his descendants became known as the House of Gildayne, and continued to rule the city for many years.
