The Haldane Dynasty was a line of Thaldain rulers descended from King Leovard; who assumed the rule of Marundi in the year 621/5, after the death of King Beren Alaghon III during the Siege of Arynäe.

The House of Haldane, whose rulers were markedly more greedy and corrupt than the Alaghon family, held the Bearclaw Throne for 683 years and a total of twenty-eight monarchs ruled from Castle Obsidian.

The Haldane Dynasty ended in the year 674/6, when King Cerland II, who had joined forces with Sorimmar, was slain during the Battle of Krell. Upon his death, the Haldanes were succeeded by King Leland Uzren.
