Duchy of Hennara
HENNARA.png

Hennara was a powerful Duchy Led by Varek Bracken that, along with the duchies of Cynara and Varia, rebelled against the Kingdom of Cyrendar in the year 1068/4.

The Iskari Civil War began with the death of King Ilcanar Cyrenäe II, who was poisoned by Alokkair’s agents. The king died without a rightful heir and soon after, fueled by Alokkair’s treachery, disputes arose as to the proper royal successor.

For the next twenty years, the bitter Iskari Civil War raged between the opposing factions before all were united under one banner by King Ikharos Blackburn in the year 1087/4.

After the war's end, King Ikharos destroyed the noble House of Bracken; Varek and three of his sons were slain in battle; his fourth son was captured and exiled to the Isle of Renthara.

Ikharos then broke the Duchy of Hennara into three smaller duchies; Dhalhurst, Hennara, & Rhoyden. These new Vassal states were then ruled by loyalist nobles.

Today, Castle Bracken; the ancient fortress of Varek located in the city of Herath, is occupied by the House of Coradan
