House Remillard is an Orellian aristocratic family and a powerful and influential member of the Consiglia.
The Remillard family is ancient nobility, tracing its lineage back to the reign of King Rygar Alesard; the founder of Orel. The family has extensive holdings in the cities of Ordana, Morathad, and Stormhaven. The Remillards are both feared and respected by other Nobles, for it is said that the family "knows where all the bones are buried."
The current family Matriarch; Octavia Remillard, is among the oldest and longest-serving Exarchs. Well into her nineties and nearly blind, she rarely leaves what she considers her life’s work: a mysterious archive of information known as the "Grand Repository," located in a rural region called Korthnoy.
Lady Octavia attends Assembly meetings only a handful of times each year, partly because of her advanced age, and partly because she strives to finish cataloging her repository before she chooses a successor for her Consiglia seat—and possibly for stewardship of the repository.
Octavia is known as one of the Kingdom's leading experts on occult subjects and obscure arcane rituals.
