The Iron Duke

The Iron Duke was a little- known Thannish ruler of the Rin Falar Freehold.

In the late Third Age, Valden the Conqueror fought the Iron Duke in three separate bloody military campaigns, before defeating the Duke's army, slaying him in battle, and capturing the city of Rin Falar.

At that point, the freehold became part of the expanding kingdom of Valdor.
