Amethyst Throne

Located within the Great Hall of Castle Ironfist, the Amethyst Throne is the royal seat of the kingdom of Eldara, and has been the seat of Thannish royalty for over 3,150 years.

King Eldan ordered the throne constructed when he became the first ruler of Eldara. It was constructed entirely of white and purple marble, studded with many priceless amethyst gems, which gleamed in the sunlight. For this reason, the chair was often called "the Purple Throne."

Since being installed, the Amethyst Throne has been the royal seat to 125 different Thannish monarchs:

• 43 monarchs of the Del Vecchio Dynasty over 1,233 years
• 18 monarchs of the Arellani Dynasty over 462 years
• 9 monarchs of the Valencio Dynasty over 199 years
• 55 monarchs of the Irazadi Dynasty over the last 1,256 years
