Irovar Shalcross II was the final ruler of Iskandar from the Shalcross Dynasty, who in the year 392/6, abdicated the Onyx Throne, and sailed off Corwyn for Ikharos in a futile attempt to re-establish the lost Iskari Empire.

It is said that during Irovar’s brief ten years on the throne, he constantly yearned to reclaim the former glory of the Iskari people on Iskandar and saw himself as a reincarnation of Empress Azonia.

Irovar's Lost Expedition to Iskandar

Legend has it, the young king was never comfortable on Corwyn, and spent his entire life reading books on ancient Iskari lore and histories.

Irovar actually learned to speak the ancient imperial language of Iskamaic, and became a leading expert on the legends of the Runelords of Ikharos.

Sages believe that King Irovar eventually desired to actually become a "Runelord," and to possess the vast magical powers of those ancient wizards.

In the year 393 of the Sixth Age, Irovar gathered a small fleet of 25 ships, about 1,000 volunteers, and sailed west for the lost city of Khorvis. What became of his expedition is unknown. Neither Irovar, nor any of those who traveled with him across the sea, were ever heard from again.

King Irovar was succeeded on the throne by King Iscar Novaro; who derogatorily referred to his expedition as; "A fool's errand."
