King Istavar Brevald

First monarch of Cyrendar to succeed the Navarrë Dynasty, after the death of King Ilathrin Navarrë II during the Battle of Krell in 674/6. Istavar was the first monarch of the Brevald Dynasty.

Istavar was a modernist king; he disdained many of the old traditions of the Cyrendari monarchy. For example, he did not accept his "elven heritage," or take on an Elvish noble name. He kept his family name, which was still quite old and honorable. The Brevald family was also the first noble ruling house in Cyrendari history NOT to trace their lineage "Back to the Boats" as its called in Iskari culture.

King Istavar's descendants still rule Cyrendar today.
