Jhannis

(pop: 12,000) Jhannis is a small border city in northern Orel, located in the foothills of the Trusk Mountains.

The city is located at the end of Swiftrun Pass; a steep and treacherous pass through the mountains, which is heavily traveled by merchant caravans going between Alveron and Orel. Over the centuries, Jhannis has derived much of its wealth and influence as a stopover between the two great kingdoms, and has made much of its position as a 'border city' of Orel.

The City of Jhannis is currently ruled by Grand Duchess Alyra Tedeshi, and is the seventh largest Orellian city. The city also serves as the capital of the Orellian Duchy of Kasada.
