Knar Montrose

Knar Montrose was a powerful Vaas noble-man, hailing from the Thessalan Clan. He founded the Freehold of Lakewood. and became its first "Margrave."

As a young man, Knar was exiled from the Stronghold of Thessala, and ventured far to the east to found a new settlement along the north shore of the Nolar Vaas.

Knar named himself the first "Margrave of Lakewood;" the stronghold he had founded. Thereafter, his descendants became known as the House of Montrose.

The large fortified village of Knarston is named for him.
