Krynen appears as an weather-beaten man with jet-black hair and piercing gray eyes. He dresses in mottled green and brown clothes, and a grey cloak of elven-kind. Krynen always carries a hand-carved long-bow, and a masterwork long-sword.

Krynen lives on a small farm along the Churnett River, but often patrols the forests of Haranshire, ever vigilant for threats against the local community.

As a self-appointed protector of Haranshire, he often works with a local druid named Oleanne and Milborne's constable; Garyld.
