Martog Vorheis "The Wise"

(708-1037/2) Martog Vorheis; called "Martog the Wise," was a dwarven leader who founded the ancient nation of Kharos-Thûngol in the year 925/2.

After a long, bloody campaign, Martog was able to found his dwarven realm after his army defeated the goblins infesting the Cairn Mountains.

Martog was not impressed by the monarchical system of the northern dwarf-realms, so instead he created the Marat; a ruling council of elected elder dwarves, a practice that continues to the present time.

Martog also ordered the construction of the southern dwarvish city of Skarlahn Feyr, which still serves as the capital of the nation he founded long ago.
