Battle of Merizath

(5028/1) Merizath was the site of a ferocious battle fought between the races of Silvar-Elves, Metallic Dragons, and Chromatic Dragons.

This horrific battle ended the long and terrible War of the Dragons and had several profound effects;

• the evil, Chromatic Dragons were either destroyed or driven from Corwyn forever.
• Calegorax; the Lord of the Red-Dragons uttered his famous curse upon the elves of Ectharë as he was dying.
• the Soul of Calegorax was trapped within the seven Dragonshards.

The Elven-King Ainurion Alessarë of Ectharë who killed Calegorax in single combat, was also slain in this battle.
