The Montero Dynasty was a line of Ralani rulers descended from King Avner; who assumed of Ralas in the year 1244/4 after the death of King Malenvar Sanborn III during the Battle of the Volnar Strait.
The House of Montero was an ancient Ralani family hailing from the Duchy of Greymist. The family ruled the kingdom for 678 years and a total of twenty-six monarchs sat upon the Dragon Throne at Iron Crown Keep.
The Dynasty ended in 625/5 when King Alexian II was slain during the Battle of Harkalad. It was succeeded by King Ronan Serati.
