It is time of troubles here in the Kingdom of Erindar. A border dispute with the neighboring kingdom of Elyria has boiled over into imminent war. Both countries have called their banners and their respective vassal lords have called up thousands of conscripts. There have already been a dozen minor skirmishes along the border, with both sides blaming the other for acts of aggression.
In this chaotic time, your party has arrived in the Erindari capital of Chelstad. All of you have received a letter inviting you to meet at a tavern called the Golden Hearth, where your prospective employer will explain details on an errand he wishes to hire you for.
All of you have your own reasons for going on this adventure, whether it’s just to escape conscription in the impending war, a source of needed income, or simply a place to test your skills against dangerous foes. You all share a strong desire to get as far away from this looming conflict as soon as possible.
Party Composition
For this adventure, it is recommended that your party contain at least one spell-caster and one elf. You can play any basic class in the Pathfinder Rulebook, with two exceptions; No gnomes and no dwarven wizards are allowed.
