Nürn Myr

‘North Sea’ (Svt) ancient elvish term for the ocean north of the continent of Corwyn. This ocean is also called the ‘Sea of Ice.’ This vast northern ocean is covered year-round by thick, dense pack ice, which obscures the actual size of this body of water. Only in the height of summer, does the ice at the southern polar borders of the sea break up and allow ships to traverse its course over the Northern Peninsula, and reach the secluded Hleth Isle and Thalar Islands. However, even in summer, many dangerous icebergs float on or slightly beneath the surface and sea travel is highly dangerous.
