Battle of Orso
(1246/6) Orso was the site of a recent battle between the White Alliance and the armies of Sorimmar.
The White Alliance was defeated, largely due to the treachery of the kingdom of Gwynne. The king of Gwynne allowed Sorimmar’s armies to pass undetected through the Three River Valley in violation of its treaties with the Alliance. Sorimmar’s forces then came through the valley, surprised the southern armies of the Alliance, and decimated them.
King Galadren of Alveron also lost his two youngest sons in this battle. Only his eldest; Prince Tharovin, survived the carnage.
