Ril'tar

(population: 3,000) Ril'tar is a small, fortified settlement which is built around a well-known desert oasis in the Sea of Sand.

The settlement is located on the Naracen Plateau and serves as a vital rest stop for merchant caravans travelling across the vast desert of Vilzar

The oasis contains a fortress which is home to a small sect of priests who worship Ak’ Tai; the Vilzari Goddess of Water.

Because of the scarcity of water, Ril'tar is of immense importance. On two different occasions, this oasis was the scene of terrible battles between Eldarans and the Vilzari.

The present ruler of the Oasis is a powerful Vilzari warlord named Mombasa.

The Oasis if Ril-tar is also the junction of two important roads:

• the Blood Banner Trail; which runs east and west between the cities of Eto and An-Khara

• the Trail of Skulls; which runs north to Gateway Keep
