(Population: 1,200) Located along the Lost Coast of Iskandar, Sandpoint is a large town which serves as the seat of a small barony of the same name.
Resting in a natural cove along the shores of the Wyn Myr, Sandpoint is a small, tranquil, and tightly-knit community.
Like many other settlements in the Hinterlands area, Sandpoint sits along the Lost Coast Road, halfway between the large cities of Herronford and Wyn Falas.
Various wooden buildings and cluttered docks line the town’s natural harbor, while manors of wealthy citizens dot the hilltops and farmhouses are spread across the surrounding countryside.
Sandpoint’s only landmark is the "Old Light;" an ancient lighthouse which is currently nothing more than a great pile of rubble.
During the day, fishing, farming, lumbering, glass-making, and shipbuilding occupy most townsfolk, who then retire to their homes after stopping at one of Sandpoint’s lively taverns.
In its 250-year history, the town has faced many hardships but also been blessed with great prosperity. Apart from the occasional goblin raid, or severe storm, the town is quiet. Recently, the town endured the "late unpleasantness," and now, a new shadow has begun to loom over the unsuspecting populace.
For the last five years, Sandpoint has been ruled by Baroness Kendra Deveran, whose family has governed the region for nearly three centuries.
