Schools of Magic

There are nine different schools of magic on Corwyn:

• Abjuration: spells of protection, blocking, and banishing. Specialist wizards who use this magic are called Abjurers.

• Conjuration: spells that bring creatures or materials. Specialist wizards who use this magic are called Conjurers.

• Divination: spells that reveal information. Specialist wizards who use this magic are called Diviners.

• Enchantment: spells that magically imbue the target or give the caster power over the target. Specialist wizards who use this magic are called Enchanters.

• Evocation: spells that manipulate energy or create something from nothing. Specialist wizards who use this magic are called Evokers.

• Illusion: spells that alter perception or create false images. Specialist wizards who use this magic are called Illusionists.

• Invocation: spells that call upon, or "invoke" the energies from the other schools. (not a true school like the others) Wizards who use this magic are called Invokers.

• Necromancy: spells that manipulate life or life force. Specialist wizards who use this magic are called Necromancers.

• Transmutation: spells that transform the target. Specialist wizards who use this magic are called Transmuters.
