Shorafa River

Long narrow river flowing northeast out of the Sha'Dur Mountains that cuts through the Sea of Sand as it flows to the coast of the Hrön Myr. THe great river passes through the Vilzari capitol of Il’Vak on its passage. The river is considered sacred by the Vilzari people, and is named for the ancient desert realm of Shorafa that existed long before Vilzar, back in ancient times when the city of Il'Vak was named Tanif.

The Vilzari say the spirit of the Water Goddess Ak'Tai swims beneath the surface, granting blessings to all who drink from the waters.
