Located in the Pale, the Silvarwood was once home to Thekarë; the lost kingdom of the Wood-Elves.

In the Fourth Age, this forest was invaded by a enormous army of orcs, the Wood-Elves were driven out, and their civilization was destroyed. When that happened, the forest became a place of dread known as Mystwood.
