Sokoro Palace (the "Citadel")

Formerly known as the "Sokoro Palace," the Citadel is a grand castle located in the Eldaran city of Varistan.

Built in the Third Age for the rulers of the now-defunct Sokoro Union, this vast palace sits astride the Velskar River on an island called "the Devil's Fork."

Local History

three thousand years ago, the Palace was home to Prince Meraxas, the last Sokorran ruler, who surrendered to Valden the Conqueror. Today, the palace is the home of Baron Avery Kromar. Besides the Baron and his family, the castle is also home to a garrison of 250 soldiers, commanded by Captain Andros Hewit.

Today, the castle is in very poor repair, and its current owner has no desire to spend any funds on its upkeep
