The Sür

The Sür; meaning the "foul lake," is a poisonous body of water located in southern Drakhara.

In the distant years of the Second Age, the Dark-Elves built a castle on an island in the center of this lake, where they conducted strange, terrible magical experiments.

The Drow experiments resulted in the permanent pollution of the lake's waters. As a result, the lake could then only be traversed by boats with metal hulls, because of the terrible corrosive effects of the foul, acidic waters.

Today, the ruined fortress In the center of this lake is called Erôn-Mored; the dreaded citadel of the Faceless Ones.
