Warders

The Warders are a devout sect of priests who worship Nerydia, the Goddess of Magic, and seek to regulate the misuse of divine magic on Corwyn.

They are similar to the Veiled Society who regulates mages and sorcerers. The key distinction is that the Veiled Society serves the state and royal powers, whereas the Warders serve only themselves and their own secret goals. If fact many sects of the Warders are actually evil in nature, and have on occasion come up against the Veiled Society.
