War of the Barbarians

(544-548/5) The War of the Barbarians was a conflict between the Ravinian Empire and the barbarians of Üthrar and Kurand.

The war started with a series of bloody raids against the Empire’s eastern territories. The barbarians were finally defeated, but the war tied down large numbers of Imperial troops and cost many casualties.

The fortress of Athos-Sorel was besieged for over a year during this conflict.
